I think it’s the right size, and i really like the design, and could get a little 250, ot a big 750, a newer one, or a 1983 OG.yeah I’m pretty sure this will be my segway from scooter to big boy bike.

I’ve ridden a couple for work- was not impressed. Then again, the bikes I get to ride for work are almost universally in really shitty condition.

They aren’t anything special, but they are cheap and reliable: arguably the most important factors starting out.

To me it looks confused as to which decade it’s supposed to be in.

AKA ‘timeless design’.

So... It’s a Honda?

That’s why I like it. Its what I like about 60's bikes, and 90's bikes rolled into one sleek simple, but modern package.

You just described what i’m looking for, that and a bike that is nice to look at, but not flashy, and not too big.

I have that exact same model red nighthawk in my garage, and have yet to find time to fix it proper..

Everything... The engine needs to be rebuilt, the tires changed, the brakes tested cleaned out etc, the indicators mounts have dry-rotted and broken in half, and that's just off the top of my head.. Got the bike from a good friend of ours who just gave it to me as a project, but I've been far too busy to give it the right TLC just to get it running again.

Same here. I really want an 83 cb550 nighthawk.

Looks more like “Oh shit, it’s the 90s” to me.

My dad had several from 250s when I was a baby to finally selling (with a tear in his eye) a 750 before taking a job overseas. He loved them. He’s had bikes of all types (Kawasaki Voyager, V Stroms, BMW sport/tourer) and said his Nighthawk was his favorite hands down

I rode a newer 750 for a couple months a few years back. Belonged to a buddy but he got hurt and asked me to ride it until he could again. Comfortable, reliable, easy to ride, plenty quick for a starter bike. Really just a good all-around bike, big enough to grow into skill-wise for longer than most cheap bikes, but not out of reach as a starter for most people.

I WANT A NIGHT HAWK TOO!!!!!
Except I have an 81 suzuki that is currently a frame with one wheel and an engine on my kitchen table in my spare room....I also own a 1993 Fiance, and sadly Id have to get rid of one or the other if I want a nighthawk.

I have a 1992 Wife that doesn’t want me to get a motorcycle that hits highway speeds. :( but I’m going to try to get one anyway.
